FFS…i actually forgot to check the drafts folder for quite a while…:D So here some belated stuff.
So again, hunger struck…and this time we decided to go a bit out of our way to get to one of the food centres. The Adam Food Centre it was. A smallish one but as far as we could gather, the food there was supposed to be quite good.
After walking around a bit (and wondering what we should eat..), we stopped by a stall that sported Rojak in a few variations. Since we did not have this particular food yet, we decided to order some.
The woman wanted a cuttlefish Rojak while I had a plain one (that apparently had cuttlefish in it as well..:) ). After we were seated and told to wait, we were presented with two plates a few minutes later:
It did not look very nice but tasted rather nice. It is not my favourite, so much is clear, but considering that it did not cost much ($4/5) and the owner was very nice and even served it to us…as if we would not be used to standing in a line waiting for stuff.
The major difference between the two dishes was the liberal application of dried cuttlefish in the cuttlefish rojak. In all other respects they were nearly identical. Too sweet for my liking, I would have enjoyed a bit of a kick rather than a sweetish sauce.
The woman rather liked her rojak and would have eaten it again, for me it is a one time thing, i guess.
